CrowdShift

A market that pays commuters to miss the crush: shift your trip off-peak and get paid once the shift is verified.

The idea came from concert nights. Anyone who has left the Sports Hub after Blackpink, Lady Gaga or Billie Eilish knows the crush at Stadium station: a whole stadium funnelling into one Circle Line platform at the same time, most of them in no hurry at all. I kept thinking that the people with time to spare should be paid to take a later train, and the crowd would manage itself.

CrowdShift is that idea, built for the everyday version of the problem. The morning crush on a train line lasts about thirty minutes; if you shift your trip by fifteen, CrowdShift pays you the moment the shift is verified.

It reads the live LTA DataMall feed, generates keys in the browser, clears the market deterministically in integer cents, signs a receipt for each verified shift, and settles over x402 on the Base Sepolia testnet.

I built it alone in seven hours at BUIDL OPC in Singapore, hosted by Amber Group and co-hosted by Claude Community SG and the Lifelong Learning Institute, where it placed in the Top 10. I’m proud of that one.
