Afterglow

Fixed-rate USDG lending against tokenized stocks on Robinhood Chain, with rules that follow the stock market’s clock: lenders are paid to carry the weekend instead of absorbing its gaps.

Tokenized stocks trade around the clock on-chain, but their prices don’t: the feeds stop at Friday’s close and resume on Sunday night. A lending market then has two bad options. If it keeps lending on Friday’s stale price, a Monday gap becomes the lenders’ bad debt; if it freezes, borrowers can’t even repay.

Afterglow follows the stock market’s clock instead. Borrowers pledge stock tokens and borrow USDG at a fixed rate to a fixed date. The borrow limit eases from 55% to 45% in the four hours before the close, new borrowing pauses while prices are frozen, and repaying always works. Every loan pays a weekend premium, priced from the stock’s real weekend price gaps, and lenders pick a side of the weekend: Protected is paid first, while Boost takes weekend losses first and keeps the premium.

The contracts are in Solidity, and the weekend-gap model, GapGuard, is in Rust on Arbitrum Stylus. Afterglow runs on Robinhood Chain testnet with TSLA and AMZN markets, on Chainlink prices mirrored from mainnet, and is covered by 97 unit and fuzz tests and 5 fork tests against Robinhood Chain mainnet. I built it for the Arbitrum Open House Singapore online buildathon in September and October 2026. It is unaudited and testnet only.
